HE Abdelredha Abdulla, UAE ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman hailed the performance of the UAE Olympic national team in the group stage of the AFC U-22 Championship in Muscat following their advance to the quarterfinals.
“We are delighted to see our UAE lads showing up in this continental championship,” he said during the lunch ceremony at the UAE embassy on Thursday.
“Such tournaments enhance the links and ties between all national teams involved. Oman has successfully staged the event,” he added.
The UAE ambassador has also hailed the hard work of the UAE football association to develop the game and its strong support of the association for the national coaches who had made great achievements.
Jamal Bu Hindi, the Olympic national team manager thanked the ambassador and his staff for their efforts to ensure the comfort of the delegation since their arrival into Muscat.
