UAE Stalwart Suhail Al Mansouri Thinks Big

UAE midfielder Suhail Al Mansouri said they are targeting the last four of the championship pointing out that the chapter of the group stage was closed and the player are eyeing strong performance against Jordan to come out with a positive result.

Al Mansouri made strong appearance in the three starts of the preliminary round and the coach has used him as a useful substitute in the second half to utilize his speed and high tactical skills to force defenders to make mistakes against him.

The UAE right defender Salim Rashid admitted that their goalless clash against North Korea was tough.

He said: “The Koreans played a big game but we were able to stop them though they have the advantage of being taller especially in the aerial engagements.”

Rashid started from the right flank before being asked by the coach to advance to midfield.
“It’s my duty to execute the directives of the boss for the interest of the squad. I hope to see UAE faithful fans in Muscat to cheer the players on Sunday,” he added.
